Extended Support is an extra-cost option. Sustaining Support continues indefinitely but provides no new patches or fixes. Some dates differ by edition and platform (for example 19c on HP-UX); Oracle states its policy documents are subject to change.

Frequently asked questions

When does SQL Server 2016 support end?

Extended support for SQL Server 2016 ended on 14 July 2026. Microsoft offers paid Extended Security Updates until July 2029 for security patches only.

Is SQL Server 2019 still supported?

Yes, in extended support. Mainstream support ended on 28 February 2025 and extended support, which provides security fixes, runs until 8 January 2030.

When does Oracle Database 19c support end?

Oracle Database 19c Premier Support runs to December 2029 and Extended Support to December 2032, according to Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy.

Is Informix 12.10 still supported?

IBM-branded Informix 12.10 reached end of support on 30 April 2026 and has extended support until 30 April 2030. HCL-branded Informix 12.10 is out of support.

When does PostgreSQL 14 reach end of life?

PostgreSQL 14 receives its final release on 12 November 2026, after which the community no longer issues fixes for it.

Is MySQL 8.0 end of life?

Oracle Extended Support for MySQL 8.0 ended in April 2026. MySQL 8.4 is the current long-term support release, with Premier Support to April 2029.

When does Oracle Forms 12c support end?

Oracle Forms 12c Premier Support ends in December 2026 and Extended Support in December 2027. Forms 14c has Premier Support to December 2030.

What should we do when our database reaches end of support?

You can pay for extended vendor support where it exists, move to third-party support such as ONQU's, upgrade to a supported version, or migrate to another platform. ONQU's Discovery Audit compares the cost and risk of each option for your systems.
